Minnesota State Capitol Restoration

The gilded Quadriga sculpture has returned to the State Capitol.  The horses and charioteer were lifted into place on November 12.  When the building re-opens on January 3, visitors will be once again be greeted by the golden statuary.  The Quadriga (Latin for “four-horse chariot”) sits atop the Capitol entrance.   Originally installed in 1906, it was removed last Summer due to replacement of the roof beneath it.  Its condition was also assessed and it was regilded.  The sculpture, titled “The Progress of the State”, was sculpted ...

Shakopee City Hall Groundbreaking

Groundbreaking for the new $9.8M Shakopee City Hall was held on 6 June 2016.  The project is designed by BKV group.  The new building is two stories with a total of 25,450 SF and will connect with the existing Police Station.  A structural steel frame will be used and the exterior consist of prefinished metal panels, brick, architectural precast, GFRC panels and extensive use of glazing.
